Care is changing.
Mom or Dad needs more help.
What should we ask first?
A place to begin
We can help organize what you’re noticing, understand the kinds of questions worth asking, and recognize what kind of care expertise may need to be involved.
HOW WE HELP
A care change. A death. A house full of decisions. We can help put the questions in order and find the right people to ask.
Different situations. Different next steps.
Care is changing.
What should we ask first?
A place to begin
We can help organize what you’re noticing, understand the kinds of questions worth asking, and recognize what kind of care expertise may need to be involved.
Someone has died.
Who can legally act, and what needs attention?
A place to begin
We can help sort through the immediate questions and recognize when legal authority, probate or another issue needs to be addressed before other decisions can move forward.
The house is a question.
What matters for this person and family?
A place to begin
We can help look at the property in the context of the family’s larger situation. Sometimes care, legal, financial or other questions need answers before a property decision makes sense.
There are years of belongings.
What should happen to the things inside?
A place to begin
We can help separate the belongings question from the house question, identify what the family wants to accomplish, and bring in appropriate moving, organizing, estate-sale or other help when needed. Family wishes and proper authority to act come first.
You want to plan ahead.
Which conversations would help us prepare?
A place to begin
We can help you think through what you’re trying to accomplish, understand the different pieces that may be involved, and identify where specialized legal, tax, insurance or other expertise belongs.
The questions overlap.
Who are we supposed to call?
A place to begin
That is enough to begin. You don’t need to choose the right category.
A simple starting experience
A few sentences are enough. We start by understanding what has changed, what’s worrying you, and what decisions may be connected.
Start wherever you are.
We’ll help organize the situation, explain options we can appropriately help you understand, and identify what may need attention first. You’ll receive a short Your Next Steps summary.
It puts a few priorities, unanswered questions and dependencies in order, including what we can help with, where another professional belongs, and what happens next. It’s a practical summary, not a professional assessment.
A few priorities, not a giant plan.
That may mean helping you take action, bringing in an attorney, care professional or another resource, or providing a service through the appropriate licensed professional or business. We’ll also agree on when it makes sense to check back.
The right help, at the right time.
Not every family needs every part. We begin with what your situation calls for and check back as things change.
No.
Sometimes keeping the home is right. Sometimes changes could make staying there easier. Sometimes preparing to sell, selling as-is, or another property option makes sense. Sometimes another issue needs attention first. And sometimes doing nothing yet is the right choice.
If you choose help buying or selling a home, licensed real estate services are provided through Make Kentucky Home Group at eXp Realty under a separate agreement.
THE RIGHT EXPERTISE STILL MATTERS
Bluegrass Estate Solutions can provide education and help families understand options involving property, real estate, insurance and planning concepts. When a question requires specialized professional expertise, we help recognize when that professional belongs in the conversation.
Legal and planning. We can explain general planning concepts and help put practical parts of an attorney’s plan into action. Attorneys provide legal advice, choose the appropriate legal structure, recommend legal provisions, and prepare and interpret legal documents. We don’t draft trusts or other legal documents or replace the attorney.
Care and medical questions. We can help you understand the care landscape, organize observations and questions, identify resources, and coordinate connections. Medical and appropriate care professionals handle clinical assessments, diagnoses, medical decisions, and professional determinations about care and safety.
Tax questions. We can recognize when tax consequences need attention and bring the appropriate professional into the conversation. Individualized tax advice belongs with a qualified tax professional.
Property and real estate. We can provide education about property and real-estate investing concepts. Licensed brokerage services, when chosen, are provided through Make Kentucky Home Group at eXp Realty under a separate relationship and agreement.
Insurance. We can provide education about insurance and related planning concepts. Any regulated recommendation, application or product transaction is handled in Daniel’s appropriate licensed insurance capacity, with the applicable disclosures.
The starting conversation and Your Next Steps are free. Appropriate introductions and reasonable follow-up around your situation are part of that starting relationship.
There’s no obligation to sell a house, list with Make Kentucky Home Group, buy insurance, or use a professional we suggest.
Other professionals and separately provided services may have their own fees. The starting relationship does not include unlimited coordination or ongoing case management.
Every family’s story is different.
You don’t have to know what kind of help you need. That’s where we can start.
